Ages 11-12: Typically 5th and 6th Grade

LYB Little League offers a Majors division for players who are ready for a fast-paced, competitive game and grasp the team concept at bat and in the field.

This division is designed for players with a league age of 11 and 12 who have developed baseball experience across hitting and fielding, possess a general knowledge of game rules, and can play at the Majors division without concern for safety. All players who register must be evaluated prior to rosters being formed via a draft. Not all players who register for the Majors division are guaranteed to be assigned to a Majors team but will be offered a position on a Minors-AAA team based on the outcome of the evaluations.

For the Spring 2026 season, evaluations will be held Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm (specific times TBD) at the Lincoln High School field. Tournament teams, also known as "All Star" teams are formed after the spring season if there is sufficient interest from players and coaches. These teams are formed at the 12U age group from the Majors level players who want to play more baseball on weekends and continue the season into summer. 

Spring season practices are typically twice a week; fall ball practices may be fewer in number. Practice days and times are established by each coach. Games are typically played twice per week against either other Lincoln teams or other Little League teams in nearby boundaries. The field used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

Equipment Needed

Each player should provide their own glove, batting helmet, and bat. Bats must follow the USABat standard - bats cannot be more than 33 inches in length and no more than 2 and 5/8 inches in diameter; wooden bats cannot be less than 15/16 inches in diameter (7/8 inches for bats less than 30 inches in length) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed 16 inches from the small end. Please note that solid one-piece wood barrel bats do not require a USA Baseball logo.

Majors teams play in the regular spring season as well as fall ball.
