FALL BALL REGISTRATION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN

Fall Ball is an LYB program that emphasizes fun and development for new and returning players in the AAA, Majors, and Junior Baseball Organization (JBO) divisions.

Fall Ball runs mid- late August through October and offers players a chance to get instruction and repetition in new positions and build skills in a more relaxed environment. For players moving up into a new division, this is a great opportunity to learn new rules and prepare for the spring season in a supportive environment.

Fall Ball is open to players entering the following divisions in the 2026 spring season.

• AAA (generally ages 9–10)

• Majors (generally ages 11–12)

• JBO (generally ages 13 – 14)

FALL BALL COST, REGISTRATION, OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP

• Registration fee: $150 for AAA and Majors; $170 for JBO

• Registration fee includes a team hat and jersey for AAA, Majors, and JBO players moving up to the JBO Division (current JBO players will keep their Spring 2025 uniforms and hats)

• Head coaches, assistant coaches, field maintenance, and general volunteers needed! As always, we’re asking the community to help us keep the league alive (literally) by filling these critical volunteer roles. Please consider stepping up for this lower effort season.

• When will registration close?
  Registration will close when teams are full. Spots fill quickly.
  

• Can I play Fall Ball and another sport at the same time?
  Yes! LYB encourages players to become well-rounded athletes
  

• How are teams formed?
  LYB will shape teams with parity in skill and experience. Teams will be organized taking into consideration player age, school, and teammate/coach requests. There are no assessments for Fall Ball.
  

• When will coaches communicate the practice schedule?
  By August 24, 2025. Practices will start the last week in August or first week in September and may be one to two times a week at the coach’s discretion.
  

• When will game schedules and locations be posted?
  All games will be played on the weekends, but exact schedules depend on field availability. AAA and Majors games are expected to begin the weekend after Labor Day through the end of October. JBO games may begin the last week in August.
  

• Where are games played?
  AAA and Majors games may be played anywhere in the N Portland/SW Portland/Beaverton/Tigard/Wilsonville/Lake Oswego area. JBO games will be played in West Linn.
