The Age Determination Date for a Little League baseball player is the actual age of a child as of August 31 of the current season (not necessarily the current calendar year). These respective dates identify the “league age” as it relates to a player’s eligibility to participate in any of Little League’s divisions of play.
The fall programs use the same league age determination as the following spring. For example, the Fall 2025 programs uses the same league age determinations as Spring 2026.
This means that the league age for your player may not be the same as the actual calendar age. For example, if your Little League baseball player was born on 7/16/2016, the league age is 9 for Spring 2025 and the league age is 10 for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 season. If your Little League baseball player was born on 10/15/2016, the league age is 8 for Spring 2025 and the league age is 9 for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 season.
